Resources and documentation about the entire UTAU creation process for beginners

NOTE: I am definitely not an expert, and have only made 1 VCV monopitch voicebank.

This website should probably not be used as a guide. Think of this as an organized list of resources and parsed info from said resources. Please refer to the resources linked in this website for more accurate information, and more information about creating non-VCV voicebanks.

This website will not go over voicebanks for languages other than Japanese or English, AI voicebanks, or jinriki UTAUs.

If any information on this website is incorrect, please DM me:

What you'll need:

  • OREMO, a reclist, and a guideBGM(if Voicebank is non-CV) for recording
  • setParam (for CV and VCV voicebanks) for oto-ing [editing vocal samples]. Check the oto-ing page if you are making a voicebank that is not CV or VCV
  • UTAU / UTAU-Synth /OpenUTAU for tuning

I don't feel like reading! (Quick Rundown)

  1. Record on OREMO
  2. Oto on setParam [or oto-ing software of your choice]
  3. Make .frq files on UTAU / UTAU-Synth / OpenUTAU
